When was the last time you were embarrassed? How do you react to embarrassment?
Probably last night. i was at work. I had to pull down an extension cord that was in the ceiling. I should have climbed up on a ladder to do it, but I didn’t.
It was one of those coiled extension cords. Heavy duty. I grabbed the end of it and started tugging. It was stuck. So, I kept pulling and pulling. I had it stretched to the max. Finally, it gave way. It came down like a slingshot and the plug-in part hit me right in the head. There was a loud thud. It was my skull. It hurt like a son of a bitch. There were loud gasps. People were like, “OMG, are you okay”? Hmmm, probably not. Then they were, “You’re bleeding”! I was thinking, “Please don’t need stitches. Please don’t need stitches.” I went to the men’s room. There was a red spot where the skin had scraped off. I stuck a band-aid on my head and continued working. The boss wanted to fill out an accident report. I was like, “Are you kidding? Crap like this happens to me at least 3 times a week.”
So yeah, that was the last time I was embarrassed. But only for about 2 minutes. Actually, I felt more like an idiot than being embarrassed. But, being an idiot can be embarrassing.
ps. I have a bump on my head today. My face isn’t red. My forehead is.

Yeah, it was not one of my most brilliant of moves. I guess you learn from your mistakes; except, in this case, probably not.
